This is a decentralized website.
It’s a website just like any other, except that it is stored on and delivered to you by hundreds of individual machines, just like the one you are using now.
Traditionally hosting meant storing your website on a single server managed by a company that you paid for the service. Over the years this has led to massive consolidation, with a handful of companies controlling 78% of the market, retaining all of the profit and wielding huge control, most often exercised in the form of censorship, and the invasion of personal privacy.
This website is a demonstration of an alternative to monopoly and control. We call it the Edge Network. It is made up of millions of devices contributed to the network by individuals and businesses alike, enabling peer-to-peer collaboration on a massive scale.
Any device, from a smartphone to a supercomputer cluster can contribute to the network, earning income as a participant in the network. And users of the network benefit from significant reductions in cost, enhanced security, rate flexibility and cutting edge performance.
